Brooklyn Maldonado, CFP®, EA

Originally from Yankton, South Dakota, Brooklyn made Kansas City home in 2018. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a finance focus from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in just three years, graduating in 2021. That same year, she completed her certificate in financial planning from the University of Missouri, and went on to pass the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® exam in 2022. Most recently, she earned the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation in 2025, deepening her expertise in tax planning.

Brooklyn specializes in tax planning, an area she’s particularly passionate about because taxes are something everyone experiences every single year. She believes that good tax planning turns uncertainty into opportunity. Whether it’s modeling multi-year Roth conversion strategies, helping clients navigate new tax law changes, or coordinating tax decisions with long-term financial goals, Brooklyn enjoys digging into complex situations and translating them into clear, actionable strategies. Her goal is to help clients understand not just what to do, but why it matters, so tax decisions feel intentional rather than reactive.

A firm believer in fee-only, holistic financial planning, Brooklyn is committed to making sure her clients feel informed, empowered, and confident in their financial lives. She is an active member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and a volunteer with Advisors Give Back, who help provide free financial planning to individuals and families who may not otherwise have access to professional guidance.

Outside of the office, Brooklyn enjoys staying active and competitive on the pickleball and volleyball courts. She also loves reading, playing Bingo, and spending time with family and friends.
