Brooklyn is a quick study in every sense of the word. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in just three years, graduating in 2021. That same year, she also completed her certificate in financial planning from MU, then went on to pass the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® exam in 2022.

Originally from Yankton, South Dakota, Brooklyn made Kansas City home in 2018—and she’s wasted no time settling in. She serves on the Starlight Theatre Business Advisory Council and has quickly mastered the KC restaurant scene. Before joining Legacy, she spent four years at another independent financial planning firm, working with high-net-worth clients as a financial planner.

A firm believer in fee-only, holistic financial planning, Brooklyn is passionate about making sure her clients feel informed and confident in their financial decisions—because no one should feel like they’re playing catch-up when it comes to their money.

Speaking of catch—if you’re looking for Brooklyn outside the office, you’ll likely find her on a pickleball court, paddle in hand, ready to dominate a match. A true pickleball enthusiast, she’s always up for a game, whether it’s a friendly rally or a full-on competition. When she’s not perfecting her backhand, she also enjoys boxing, reading, and spending time with family, friends, and her cat Brewster, who tolerates her love of sports but prefers lounging instead.
